Twofold for iOS — Privacy Policy

Article 1 (Purpose)

This Policy sets forth the information handled by the Application, the place in which such information is stored, the extent to which any such information is made available to the Developer or to any third party, and the means available to the User with respect to such information.

Article 2 (Definitions)

In this Policy, the following terms shall have the meanings set forth below:

• (a) "User" means any person who installs or uses the Application;
• (b) "Recordings" means the video and audio captured by the Application, including the original front-camera and back-camera recordings and the finished videos produced therefrom;
• (c) "User Content" means the Recordings together with the settings and layout choices made by the User within the Application; and
• (d) "Usage Data" means the usage statistics concerning the Application that are collected by means of Google Firebase Analytics, as further specified in this Policy.

Article 3 (Information Handled)

The Application does not require or offer a user account, contains no advertising, and does not track the User across applications or websites. User Content is never transmitted to the Developer or to any third party. The only information collected through the Application is Usage Data, as set forth in the Article entitled "Usage Statistics"; the only other communication in connection with the Application is that conducted by Apple through the App Store for the purchase and restoration of Twofold Pro, as set forth in the Article entitled "Purchases".

Article 4 (Camera, Microphone and Photo Library)

The Application requests access to the following functions of the device of the User, solely for the purposes indicated:

• (a) the camera, in order to record with the front and back cameras at the same time;
• (b) the microphone, in order to record the voice of the User and the surrounding sound; and
• (c) the photo library, on an add-only basis, in order to save finished videos to the photo library of the User. The Application does not read, display or modify any existing item in the photo library.

The Application does not request access to the location of the device, to the contacts of the User, or to any other function of the device. The User may grant or withdraw any of the foregoing access at any time in the Settings of the device; provided, however, that the Application cannot record without access to the camera and the microphone.

Article 5 (Storage of User Content)

User Content is stored on the device of the User and nowhere else by the Application. The Developer does not operate any server for the storage of User Content and has no access thereto.

Finished videos are saved to the photo library of the User. Once so saved, a finished video is held by the photo library and is subject to the settings the User has chosen for it, including any iCloud Photos synchronisation, which is provided by Apple and not by the Developer. Deleting a Recording within the Application does not delete any copy thereof in the photo library.

The original front-camera and back-camera recordings are retained within the Application for the period selected by the User in the settings of the Application, and are deleted automatically on the expiry of such period.

A recording started from the Lock Screen is held in storage reserved for that purpose on the device until the User next unlocks the device and opens the Application, at which time it is moved into the library of the Application.

The data of the Application may be included in a backup of the device that the User makes to the User's iCloud account or to a computer, in accordance with the backup settings of the device. Any such backup is held by Apple or by the User, and the Developer has no access thereto.

Article 6 (On-Device Technical Records)

To keep recording reliable, the Application also keeps on the device a record of technical events, such as the start and end of a recording, changes in the temperature state of the device, and the model of the device, together with the capabilities of the cameras of the device. Such on-device records are not themselves transmitted to the Developer or to any third party, and are deleted upon the uninstallation of the Application.

Article 7 (Usage Statistics)

The Application uses Google Firebase Analytics to collect Usage Data, including without limitation the features used, the start and end of recordings and the settings used for them, the device model, the operating system version, the version of the Application, and the language and region. Usage Data does not include the content of any Recording, any image or sound captured by the Application, or any item in the photo library of the User. Usage Data is associated with a randomly generated identifier assigned to the installation of the Application, and not with the name of the User or with any account. The Developer uses Usage Data solely for the purposes of understanding and improving the Application. Usage Data is processed on behalf of the Developer by Google (see Firebase privacy information).

Article 8 (Purchases)

Twofold Pro is sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. The Developer accepts no payments and does not receive the name, the payment details or the Apple Account of the User. The Application obtains from the App Store only the price of Twofold Pro and whether it has been purchased on the Apple Account in use.

Apple may make available to the Developer aggregated sales reports and, where the User has chosen to share them with app developers, aggregated usage statistics, in each case in accordance with Apple's own privacy policy and the settings of the User. Such information does not identify the User to the Developer.

Article 9 (Children)

The Application is not directed at children under the age of thirteen (13), and the Developer does not knowingly collect Usage Data from children under that age.

Article 10 (Deletion of Information)

The User may delete any Recording within the Application, and the uninstallation of the Application deletes all data stored by the Application on the device of the User. Finished videos previously saved to the photo library are not affected by either action and may be deleted in the Photos application. The User may request the deletion of Usage Data associated with the installation of the User by contacting the Developer at the address set forth in the Article entitled "Contact".

Article 11 (Amendment of this Policy)

The Developer may amend this Policy from time to time. In the event of any such amendment, the Developer shall revise the date of last update indicated at the top of this page.
