Time Progress for Android — Privacy Policy
Shosin Labs, an independent software studio (hereinafter the "Developer"), hereby establishes this Privacy Policy (hereinafter this "Policy") with respect to the handling of information in connection with the application Time Progress, distributed under the name 時間進捗 in Japanese and 时光进度 in Chinese (hereinafter the "Application").
Article 1 (Purpose)
This Policy sets forth the categories of information handled by the Developer in connection with the use of the Application, the purposes for which such information is used, the third parties by which such information is processed, and the means available to the User with respect to such information.
Article 2 (Definitions)
In this Policy, the following terms shall have the meanings set forth below:
- (a) "User" means any person who installs or uses the Application;
- (b) "User Content" means the events, dates and settings entered by the User into the Application;
- (c) "Usage Data" means the usage statistics concerning the Application that are collected by means of Google Firebase Analytics, as further specified in this Policy; and
- (d) "Feedback" means any message transmitted by the User to the Developer by means of the feedback function of the Application, together with the information accompanying such message.
Article 3 (Storage of User Content)
User Content is stored on the device of the User. The Developer does not operate user accounts, and does not operate any server for the storage of User Content.
In the Android version of the Application, the Application is excluded from the system cloud backup of the device. The transfer of User Content to another device shall be effected by means of the CSV export and import functions of the Application.
Article 4 (Usage Statistics)
The Application uses Google Firebase Analytics to collect Usage Data, including without limitation the features used, the device model, the operating system version, the version of the Application, and the language and region. Usage Data is associated with a randomly generated identifier assigned to the installation of the Application, and not with the name of the User or with any account. The Developer uses Usage Data solely for the purposes of understanding and improving the Application. Usage Data is processed on behalf of the Developer by Google (see Firebase privacy information).
Article 5 (Feedback)
Where the User transmits Feedback from within the Application, the Developer receives the content of the message, the email address of the User where the User elects to provide it, and basic information concerning the Application and the device. Feedback is used solely for the purposes of responding to the User and improving the Application.
Article 6 (Reminders, Widgets and Export)
Reminders are scheduled locally by the device of the User, and widgets are rendered on the device of the User. The CSV export and import functions of the Application use the file picker of the device, and files so exported or imported are not transmitted through any server of the Developer.
Article 7 (Advertising)
The Application contains no advertising and does not use any advertising identifier.
Article 8 (Children)
The Application is not directed at children.
Article 9 (Deletion of Information)
The User may delete any event within the Application, and the uninstallation of the Application deletes the data stored by the Application on the device of the User. The User may request the deletion of Usage Data associated with the installation of the User by contacting the Developer at the address set forth in the Article entitled "Contact".
Article 10 (Amendment of this Policy)
The Developer may amend this Policy from time to time. In the event of any such amendment, the Developer shall revise the date of last update indicated at the top of this page.
