Quit Smoking for iOS — Privacy Policy

Article 1 (Purpose)

This Policy sets forth the categories of information handled by the Developer in connection with the use of the Application, the purposes for which such information is used, the third parties by which such information is processed, and the means available to the User with respect to such information.

Article 2 (Definitions)

In this Policy, the following terms shall have the meanings set forth below:

• (a) "User" means any person who installs or uses the Application;
• (b) "User Content" means the quit profile, records, notes, goals and settings entered by the User into the Application;
• (c) "Usage Data" means the usage statistics concerning the Application that are collected by means of Google Firebase Analytics, as further specified in this Policy; and
• (d) "Feedback" means any message transmitted by the User to the Developer by means of the feedback function of the Application, together with the information accompanying such message.

Article 3 (Storage of User Content)

User Content is stored on the device of the User. The Developer does not operate user accounts, and does not operate any server for the storage of User Content.

In the iOS version of the Application, User Content is synchronised by means of the User's own iCloud account so that it is available on a new device. Any copy so synchronised is held by Apple within the account of the User, and the Developer has no access thereto. The User may disable such synchronisation at any time in Settings.

Article 4 (Usage Statistics)

The Application uses Google Firebase Analytics to collect Usage Data, including without limitation the features used, the device model, the operating system version, the version of the Application, and the language and region. Usage Data is associated with a randomly generated identifier assigned to the installation of the Application, and not with the name of the User or with any account. The Developer uses Usage Data solely for the purposes of understanding and improving the Application. Usage Data is processed on behalf of the Developer by Google (see Firebase privacy information).

Article 5 (Feedback)

Where the User transmits Feedback from within the Application, the Developer receives the content of the message, the email address of the User where the User elects to provide it, and basic information concerning the Application and the device. Feedback is used solely for the purposes of responding to the User and improving the Application.

Article 6 (Notifications and Widgets)

Reminders and milestone notifications are scheduled locally by the device of the User, and widgets are rendered on the device of the User. The User may disable notifications at any time.

Article 7 (Advertising)

The Application contains no advertising and does not use any advertising identifier.

Article 8 (Children)

The Application is intended for adults and is not directed at children.

Article 9 (Deletion of Information)

The User may delete any record within the Application, and the uninstallation of the Application deletes the data stored by the Application on the device of the User. The User may request the deletion of Usage Data associated with the installation of the User by contacting the Developer at the address set forth in the Article entitled "Contact".

Article 10 (No Medical Advice)

The Application is a tracker and a set of coping tools, and is neither a medical device nor a treatment. Reference is made to the Terms of Use.

Article 11 (Amendment of this Policy)

The Developer may amend this Policy from time to time. In the event of any such amendment, the Developer shall revise the date of last update indicated at the top of this page.
